The Shri Navadurga temple is located in Borim. The temple is among the famous religious places in Goa. The Navadurga Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Parvati the holy consort of Lord Shiva.
According to the history, a group of Brahmins had earlier brought the Goddess Navadurga deity from Karad in Maharashtra to Benaulim in the South Goa. The deity was later transferred from Benaulim in Salcete to its present site at Borim.
The villagers of Borim celebrate a festival known as the Borim Jatra in the month of November which is dedicated to Goddess Navdurga.
