At a distance of 50 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 46 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 19 km from Margao Railway Station, The Guardian Angel Church is situated in South Goa.
The Guardian Angel Church is also known as Anjo Custodio Church located in Curchorem. This is the only church in Goa and whole of Asia which is dedicated to Guardian Angel. The original chapel was commenced in 1885 but the chapel was completed in 1887. It was affiliated to Tilamola parish. In the year 1917, Fr Agnelo D' Souza was appointed as its 'Capelao Curial'. The chapel was rebuilt in 1933 and Sanvordem was upgraded to a fully fledged parish by the provision of 10th January 1936. The parish was under the spiritual care of the members of the Society of Pilar from 1953 to 1997. The church was rebuilt in 1999.
The Guardian Angel Church is in mixed style architecture with Neo-Roman features. It has three Storeys and 2 bell towers with pointed arches. It has large concrete porch supported by round columns.
The feast of the Guardian Angel was celebrated on 3rd Sunday of November every year.
