At a distance of 10.5 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 27 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 23 km from Mapusa, The Church of the Cross of Miracles is situated in North Goa.

The Church of the Cross of Miracles lies on a hill on the southern outskirts of Old Goa. It offers a breathtaking view of Old Goa from the hills. The Church is now completely in ruined state. It was built in 1619 to house the Cross of Miracles which has been decayed and then the present Church was rebuilt in 1674 at the same place.

The architectural work of the Church resembles to that of medieval Europe. The Church of Cross of Miracle is built of laterite and plastered with lime mortar. The Convent and The Church of the Cross of Miracles was built in Renaissance and Gothic architectural pattern. This style and model of architecture is typical to the Portuguese that they followed it during the 16th century. The Church actually had a simple structure. Unfortunately, the convent was not maintained properly and now it is almost in ruins. The building has got numerous cells but only few cells over there.

The Church also had a single storied convent. The Convent housed the congregation for the speech of Philip Neri of Goa. Unfortunately, the convent was not maintained properly and now it is almost in ruins. The building has got numerous cells but only few cells over there. The church and the convent were desolated in 1835. The Cross of Miracles was shifted to a chapel in the Se Cathedral in 1845.
