At a distance of 8 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand and 22 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 20 km from Mapusa, Nossa Senhora de Belem Church is situated in South Goa.
Nossa Senhora de Belem Church or Our Lady of Bethlehem Church is located in Bambolim. It is also known as the Bambolim Church. A beautiful white and pink structure is relatively a newer construction. It sits pretty atop the Orte De Vigar Hill in Bambolim.
The Church of Our Lady of Bethlehem has been a chapel in the original parish of Bambolim built by the Provision of 1852. The Church has a reference to Augustinian Archbishop Dom Frei Alexio de Menezes who after declaring Bambolim a separate parish from Siridao Parish built a new church in the year 1616. In 1825 the chapel was converted into a Church as Our Lady of Belem.
On the first Sunday of every January a feast is held in the name of Our Lady of Bethlehem subsequent to the feast of three Kings.
