At a distance of 8 km from Udaipur Railway Station, the Udaipur Fish Aquarium, formally known as the Under the Sun Aquarium, is located near Vibhuti Park and Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur. It is one of the top places to visit as part of Udaipur honeymoon packages.
Under the Sun Aquarium, situated at Lake Fatehsagar Paal, was inaugurated to the public in 2017. Spanning approximately 125 meters, it holds the distinction of being the largest public aquarium in India, both in terms of water capacity and the diversity of species and fish. The aquarium boasts exquisitely designed tanks that replicate the natural environments of aquatic life, offering visitors a visually stunning experience.
This state-of-the-art installation is home to over 180 species of fish from various regions of the globe, encompassing both marine and freshwater varieties, including Puffer fish, Senegal dragons, Archer fish, and Mormyrus rume, among others. Additionally, visitors can observe a range of other aquatic creatures such as Albino frogs, Fire belly newts, freshwater scampi, and Indonesian crabs.
Under the Sun Aquarium provides numerous attractions and activities for a comprehensive experience. Guests can participate in the interactive Touch Pool session, where they can touch and feed the fish. There is also the option to indulge in a soothing fish spa or capture memorable moments at the 3D Aqua Trick Art Museum. A notable feature is the OMG Tank, which offers a glimpse into the underwater world without the need to enter the water. To enhance the visit, guests can savor delectable snacks and refreshing beverages at Jalmagan, an aqua-themed restaurant.
