At a distance of 15 km from Jaipur Railway Station, Elefun is a community village for elephants set up in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is one of the best places to visit while in Jaipur, especially for wildlife enthusiasts.

Established by the Rajasthan tourism department, Elefun is a unique elephant sanctuary committed to the welfare of these majestic animals. The sanctuary was founded to rehabilitate and care for elephants rescued from circuses, forests, and environments where they have been mistreated. At Elefun, elephants are provided with nourishment, shelter, and a natural habitat conducive to their well-being. This destination is highly recommended for families traveling with children.

Situated in the picturesque locale of Amer, Elefun offers not only a refuge for elephants but also an opportunity for visitors to engage with these extraordinary beings. Whether one is a nature enthusiast, an animal lover, or simply in search of a distinctive experience, Elephant Village Jaipur guarantees an enriching adventure that transcends conventional tourism. Visitors will gain comprehensive knowledge about elephants, including their care, dietary habits, and related aspects during their visit.

At Elefun, guests can spend an entire day forming bonds with elephants through a variety of interactive activities. Each visitor is assigned a specific elephant for the day, beginning with an introduction that teaches basic communication methods using touch and scent. Guests also have the opportunity to prepare large traditional Indian bread, known as roti, tailored to satisfy the elephants' appetites. This enjoyable activity provides valuable insights into the dietary preferences of these remarkable animals. Additionally, visitors can engage in painting the elephants with safe, natural colors.

One of the most delightful experiences at Elefun is participating in the elephants' bathing ritual. Elephants enjoy splashing in water, and visitors can join them for a scrub and wash in a specially designed pool. This refreshing and enjoyable activity is temporarily suspended during the winter months to protect the elephants from cold weather. Guests may also take their elephant for a walk or ride it bareback.
