At a distance of 23 km from Rameswaram, Sea World Aquarium is an aquarium located inside the campus of The Regional Centre of Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Mandapam. It is one of the prominent tourist places in Rameswaram.

The aquarium is home to approximately 1,100 species of fish, alongside 180 types of corals, 152 varieties of sponges, 220 crabs and hermit crabs, 200 tube-dwelling worms, 125 prawns, stomatopods, and 370 different sea shells. Among its notable inhabitants are rare species such as the Lionfish, Cowfish, Parrotfish, Beach Tamet, Seahorse, Clownfish, and many others.
