The Mathoor Aqueduct has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 12.90 lakhs. It is divided into two parts, one of which is the trough canal and the other is a road. The trough canal (Pattanamkal canal) on the bridge carries water for irrigation from one side of a hill to the other side of a hill. The trough has a height of 7 feet with a width of 7.5 feet and is partly covered with concrete slabs on its top allowing people to walk on the bridge and to see the water going through the trough. This massive structure is supported by 28 colossal pillars.

The Mathur Aqueduct has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 12.90 lakhs. It comprises two main components: the trough canal and a roadway. The trough canal, known as the Pattanamkal canal, facilitates the irrigation of water from one hillside to another. The trough itself measures 7 feet in height and 7.5 feet in width, with a portion of its top covered by concrete slabs, enabling pedestrians to traverse the bridge while observing the water flow through the trough. This impressive structure is upheld by 28 substantial pillars.

As the aqueduct's popularity increased, the District Administration constructed a staircase to provide access to the bridge's summit. Additionally, a children's park and several bathing platforms have been established in the vicinity. From the top of the aqueduct, visitors are treated to a panoramic view of lush greenery, with the rolling hills of the Western Ghats in the background and the winding Pahrali River flowing beneath.
