Netaji Birth Place Museum is the ancestral house of Subhash Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter of India. He was given the title of Netaji for his immense love for the country and his continuous struggle during the freedom movement. Janakinath Bhawan is the place where Netaji used to live and now has been meticulously restored and turned into a museum in 2007 that displays various artifacts, photographs, and documents related to Netaji's life and India's struggle for independence.

Nestled amidst a vibrant garden adorned with blooming flowers, the rooms of the house have been converted into galleries that depict his birth, early upbringing, and subsequent achievements, both as a Congress leader and as the head of the Indian National Army. The Netaji Birthplace Museum also houses a library section, which holds significant documents, including 22 original letters penned by Netaji, as well as numerous books that delve into the biography of this remarkable freedom fighter. Additionally, it features his autobiography, written in Bengali and published in 1355.

This splendidly transformed museum proudly showcases a unique collection of antiques, books, articles, and personal belongings of Netaji, sourced from various origins. Efforts have been made to restore the deteriorated old stable and horse cart once used by Netaji's family. Adjacent to the museum, there is a small souvenir shop offering reasonably priced memorabilia.

On Netaji's birthday, the entire museum is adorned with decorations, and the day is commemorated in the vicinity through blood donation camps, awareness programs, cultural events, and other initiatives. Historians and ardent patriots frequently visit this site, drawn by its rich historical significance and the insights it provides into Netaji's ideologies and the socio-political climate of that era.
