At a distance of 2.5 km from Madurai Junction Railway Station, the Goripalayam Dargah, also known as Hazrat Sultan Sikandhar Badusha Shaheed Dargah, is a revered Islamic shrine located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the top religious places to visit as part of Madurai family packages.

The Goripalayam Mosque is dedicated to Hazrat Sulthan Alauddin Badusha, a revered saint and warrior from Yemen who traveled to India to promote Islam. It is believed that the saint arrived in the area during the reign of the Pandyan king, Kulasekara Pandyan, at a time when the kingdom was suffering from a severe drought. The saint prayed for rain, and, in a remarkable turn of events, rain fell, alleviating the kingdom's plight and earning him the deep respect of the local populace. Hazrat Sultan Sikandhar Badusha is believed to have died as a martyr during a battle defending the city of Madurai.

According to historical inscriptions, the mosque has been present since the 13th century. The Goripalayam Dargah showcases a harmonious blend of Islamic and South Indian architectural elements. Adorned in green and white, the mosque features towering minarets and a grand dome, and it serves as the resting place for Hazrat Sulthan Alauddin Badusha and Hazrat Sulthan Shamsuddin Badusha. Additionally, there is an unseen grave of Khaja Syed Sultan Habibuddin Razi, also referred to as Ghaibi Sulthan.

The Goripalayam Dargah holds considerable historical and cultural significance, especially for the Muslim community in the area. The mausoleum of Hazrat Sulthan Alauddin Badusha is embellished with intricate carvings and draped in green cloth, reflecting Islamic customs. The dargah also includes a mosque where regular prayers are conducted.

The annual Urus festival at this dargah takes place on the 15th night of the Islamic month of Rabi al-awwal each hijri year.
