At a distance of 4 km from Jawhar Bus Stand, Shirpamal is a historical place located in Dharampur near Jawhar City of Maharashtra, India. Situated on Jawhar - Nashik Road, it is one of the must visit tourist places in Jawhar.

Shirpamal holds great historical significance, being the location where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj once stayed overnight on his journey to Surat. Legend has it that Shivaji established a temporary camp here while en route to Surat with his Maratha troops. It was here that he met with the Koli ruler Vikramshah Mukne of Jawhar, leading to their joint invasion of Surat. In 1995, Rajaram Mukne, President of the Jawhar Municipal Council, erected a memorial in honor of Shivaji at this very spot to mark this pivotal event.

Perched atop a hill, Shirpamal was originally constructed for strategic military purposes, serving as a lookout point and defense post. However, with the passage of time, this iconic historical site has evolved into a popular tourist destination, offering panoramic views of the entire Jawhar, among the top places to visit near Pune. Visitors may also consider scheduling a trip to this picturesque location in the evening to witness a breathtaking sunset.
