At a distance of 128 Km from Pithoragarh, 197 Km from Almora, and 400 Km from Rishikesh, Munsiyari, or Munsyari is a cozy hamlet located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Situated at an elevation of 2,298 meters, Munsiyari translates to 'place with snow' and is often referred to as Little Kashmir. This charming location is found in the easternmost region of Uttarakhand and lies along the historic salt route from Tibet, serving as the gateway to the Johar Valley. The valley follows the course of the Gori Ganga River, leading to its origin at the Milam Glacier.
