At a distance of 4 kms from Nampally Railway Station, Shyam Mandir Temple is located at Kachiguda, about 1 Km from Kachiguda Railway Station. Shyam Mandir Temple is a new name for Veeranna Gutta.
The temple has great beauty and splendor; it is located on a small hillock. Originally, the temple had lord Hanuman as main shrine; however, later a temple for lord Shiva was built. It is now recreated There are small temples inside the temple complex dedicated to Lord Sri Anjaneya, Lord Sri Kaal Bhairava, Lord Sri Radha Krishna, Lord Sri Shiva, and Lord Sri Shyam Baba. The mandir has also encloses temples for Amba Mata, Naag Devta, and possibly Navagraha.
