Winter (October to February):

Winter is the peak pilgrimage season in Sabarimala. Rainfalls occur less during this time so Sabarimala temple visit won’t make you uncomfortable. The great ‘Pamba River’ is flowing on the way to Sabarimala. You can take the holy bath from here while the way to the temple. The temperature will close to 20°C during Winter. The forest will be a stunning look, with a layer of fog and mist.


Summer (March to May):

Temperature ranging during summer will be around 38°C. But its hilly shrines wipe us from the usual hot. Mornings and evenings will be fresh and pleasant and in April. ‘Vishu’ is the prime festival of Kerala and the temple has some special prayers and customs on the day of Vishu.  Here the weather won’t feel you disappointed in this season.


Monsoon (June to September):

During monsoon the forest comes alive with its lush and verdant vegetation. The sights will look like a rejuvenated human. The place is located in the Western Ghats which receives 2 monsoon seasons. ‘South western monsoon and North Western monsoon’. Southwestern receives the most rainfall from June to September. Temple visit is not possible without trekking to the temple this may be difficult due to heavy rainfall.
