Waterfall
At a distance of 9 Kms from Kemmangundi, Kallathi Falls (also known as Kalhattagiri / Kalahasthi Falls). It is also known as Kalhattagiri Falls is a mesmerizing waterfall offering an excellent view of the surrounding slopes.
Cascading from a height of over 400 feet thorugh the Chandra Drona Hills, the falls drop from a height of about 20 feet in front of the Veerabhadreshwara Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva) which is the most commonly visited part of the falls. The entrance of the temple is adorned with three elephants. The devotees believe that the water of Kalhatti Falls has the powers of healing.
Annual festival is celebrated in the month of February/March which attracts thousands of devotees. Oct to Mar is the best time to visit this place.
Kallathi Falls is little close to the Kemmangundi - Tarikere road and it can be reached by hired vehicles from Kemmangundi. A little walk is required from the nearest road.
