Nalla Ferozpora, Gulmarg - Timings, Boating, Best Time to Visit

At a distance of 14 km from Gulmarg Bus Station, Ferozpora Nallah is a small mountain stream located in the heavenly town of Gulmarg. It is one of the best places of sightseeing in Gulmarg.

Ferozepur Nallah originates from the Ferozepur Peak and meets the river Bahan at Waters Meet. This mountain stream is flowing through verdant valleys between the beautiful Chinamarg and Nurpur Pass. Also known as Shinmahinyu, the freshwater stream flows with sparkling water is the main source of drinking water for the surrounding areas. The locals believe that the water of the stream is blessed by the spirits of the mountain.

Surrounded by tall pine trees, lush meadows, and towering snow-capped mountains, this place serves as an ideal picnic spot for both locals and tourists. Also, it is a popular spot for trout fishing and angling. Besides, Ferozepur Nallah is the base camp for Tosamaidan Trek. One can drive down or hire a private taxi cab to reach the place.

The best time to visit this place is from March to October. Winters can get very cold and uncomfortable and you might have a problem adjusting to low temperatures.
