At a distance of 1 km from Kovalam Bus Stand, Samudra Beach is the main beach of Kovalam. Situated near Kuma Masjid, it is one of the must-include places in Kovalam holiday packages.
Samudra Beach is located towards the northmost region of Kovalam, and is one of the famous beaches near Trivandrum. The beach is separated from other beaches by disjointed crevices and a giant promontory. The main highlight of the beach is its soothing ambiance and the feel of serenity it offers. Compared to Light House Beach and Eve's Beach, this beach is less crowded and has less business activity.

At a distance of 0.5 Kms from Kovalam Bus Stand, Eve's Beach, adjacent to Light House Beach is a charming white sand beach. It is one of the best beaches in Kovalam, among the popular tourist places in Kerala.
This beach is located between Kovalam Main Beach and Light House Beach. It was the first topless beach in India. Top free bathing is banned now except in private owned resorts. The sunset in its entire splendor can be viewed from this beach.

At a distance of 1.5 km from Kovalam Bus Stand, the Light House Beach is a pristine beach on the coast of Arabian Sea in Kovalam. It is one of the top beaches in Kerala and among the most romantic places to visit during your honeymoon in Kerala.
Adjacent to Eve's Beach, the Light House Beach is the largest of the three beaches in Kovalam. The beach is named after the 30 m high Lighthouse located towards the southern end of the beach. Tourists are not allowed inside the Light House. Tourists can climb the hillock on which the lighthouse is located, for a spectacular view of the Sunset. There is an observation platform from which you can see Poovar in one direction and the famous Beemapalli mosque in the other. One can reach this platform by climbing a total of 142 steps.

At a distance of about 2 kms from Trivandrum Central Railway Station, The Palace Museum is located in the Kuthira Malika Palace built by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Balarama Varma, the King of Travancore. It is located in the Fort Area near Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple.
It is a rare specimen of workmanship in the traditional Travancore style of architecture. The Museum displays paintings and various priceless collections of the royal family. The name Kuthira Malika means 'Palace of Horses' and is derived from the frieze of 122 wooden horses on the exterior walls. The Palace was constructed with teak, rosewood, granite and marble. The palace includes two thrones - one is made entirely from elephant tusks and the other from Bohemian crystal.

At a distance of about 3.5 km from Trivandrum Central Railway Station, the Napier Museum is an art and natural history museum situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Also known as Government Art Museum, it is one of the popular museums in Kerala, and among the most prominent places of sightseeing in Trivandrum.
The museum was first established in 1855 but demolished in 1874 to lay the foundation for a new building, during the reign of Ayilyam Thirunal. The construction was completed in 1880 and was named after Lord Napier, the Governor of Madras from 1866-1872.
