At a distance of 100 km from Shimla, Pabbar Valley is a scenic valley in the Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the least explored valleys in Himachal, and among the must include places in Shimla adventure packages.

Pabbar Valley is situated within the renowned region of the Pabbar River, which traverses the Chanshal Mountain Range. This expansive valley encompasses notable areas such as Kufri, Fagu, Theog, Kotkhai, Khara Patthar, Jubbal, Hatkoti, Rohru, Chirgaon, Chanshal, Dodra Kwar, and Mahasu, all celebrated for their breathtaking mountain vistas, snow-capped peaks, diverse flora and fauna, ancient temples adorned with sculptures, as well as picturesque lakes and rivers.

The valley is particularly famous for its apple orchards, towering mountains, verdant meadows, and dense oak and deodar forests. Consequently, it serves as an ideal destination not only for sightseeing but also for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. The steeply forested slopes of the mountains offer thrilling trails that attract numerous adventurers each year.Most trekking routes commence from Rohru, a quaint town located near the valley, leading through lush meadows, tranquil lakes, and dense oak and deodar forests. Among the most notable trails in Pabbar Valley are the trek from Kharagpur to Giri Ganga, the Chandernahan Lake trek starting from Janglik, the Dhaula - Rupin Pass trek, and the trek from Gadsari Village to Saru Lake.

The Pabbar River is a favored destination for fishing aficionados, as it is home to a variety of sport fish, including Golden Masheer, trout, and goonch. The valley features several fishing camps, and for trout fishing, a government-issued license is required, with only rod and line fishing permitted in designated trout waters. The period from October to April is considered optimal for fishing in Himachal.
