At a distance of 1 km from Lonavala Railway Station, Sunil's Celebrity Wax Museum is situated in Lonavala Square Mall and is one of the top places of sightseeing in Lonavala.
The Celebrity Wax Museum was founded by Sunil Kandaloor, a wax artist from Kerala. The museum was inaugurated by Minister Ramesh Shendge and was modeled on the famous Madame Tussauds in London. The wax statues cover noted personalities from many walks of life - religion, social service, history, art, literature, pop music, etc.
There are wax statues of Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, B R Ambedkar, M S Subbulakshmi, Kapil Dev, Charlie Chaplin, Narendra Modi, Saddam Hussein etc. The image of Chhatrapati Shivaji is the highlight of the museum. In addition to these, the museum is also home to images of Shirdi Sai Baba, and Jawahar Lal Nehru, along with wax models of many famous musicians, politicians and social workers.
Entry Fee: Rs. 100 for Adults and Rs. 75 for Children above 5 years.
