At a distance of 10 km from Horanadu, and 92 km from Chikmagalur, Kyatanamakki is a serene hill located near Horanadu of Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. It is one of the offbeat places for trekking near Bangalore, and among the top places to visit in Chikmagalur.

Located near the Kudremukh area, Kyatanamakki is the perfect place for those looking for a weekend getaway from Bangalore with the urge to escape the fast-paced life of the city. The picturesque landscape adorned with lush green meadows, and meandering streams leave you in awe. Besides, the rolling hills are hugely popular for their breathtakingly beautiful views of sunrise and sunset also draw many tourists.

Kyatanamakki is a fully off-road route and provides a super magnificent 360-degree view on reaching the hilltop. If going by own vehicle, one will need to park before the tar road ends as from there the road is not in good condition and one may hire a 4×4 jeep to reach the top or else one needs to walk about 3 km to reach the top point. It is quite an easy walk.
